F1 Academy Expands Calendar Amidst Race Cancellations
The F1 Academy series compensates for the cancellation of a Saudi Arabian racing round by adding events in Montreal and Austin, maintaining a 14-race calendar. The new format includes an 'Opening Race' and reshuffles the schedule, with Emma Felbermayr leading the standings after the first round.

The all-female F1 Academy series is set to expand its calendar by introducing additional venues in Montreal and Austin, Texas. This move comes as a response to the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian round due to regional conflicts, announced earlier this month.
The Montreal Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will now accommodate the second round of the F1 Academy in May, while Austin will serve as the fifth stop in October. The revised schedule ensures that the series maintains a total of 14 races across six rounds spanning five countries.
Accompanying these changes is a new race format, which features an 'Opening Race' followed by a reverse grid race and a feature race, with starting positions based on the second-fastest qualifying laps. Austrian driver Emma Felbermayr, supported by Audi, is currently leading the standings.
