'Mahe,' the pioneering vessel among eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts, has been delivered to the Indian Navy. Designed and built by Cochin Shipyard Limited, Mahe represents a major stride in indigenous shipbuilding.

The acceptance agreement was signed by Dr S Harikrishnan of CSL and Commander Amit Chandra Choubey, in attendance of top naval officials. Engineered to DNV standards, the 78-meter warship combines a Diesel Engine-Waterjet propulsion system, showcasing India's prowess in naval engineering.

With capabilities in underwater surveillance, operations, and mine laying, Mahe reinforces India’s defense capabilities. It's a milestone aligned with the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat initiative, reflecting over 90% indigenous content, according to CSL.
