Al-Ahli's Dramatic Comeback in AFC Champions League Semi-Final
Defending champion Al-Ahli reached the AFC Champions League final after a thrilling 2-1 victory over Vissel Kobe. Ivan Toney scored the winning goal in the second half, leading his team to the final in Jeddah. Al-Ahli will face either Shabab Al-Ahli or Machida Zelvia on Saturday.
In a thrilling semi-final clash, defending champions Al-Ahli secured their spot in the AFC Champions League final by overcoming Japan's Vissel Kobe with a 2-1 victory.
After falling behind in the 32nd minute due to Yushinori Muto's strike, Al-Ahli persevered with resilience and skill. The Saudi team managed to equalize in the 62nd minute when Brazilian winger Galeno curled a stunning shot into the top corner.
Just eight minutes later, Ivan Toney netted the decisive goal, capitalizing on a goalkeeper's parry. Despite a late disallowed goal from Riyad Mahrez, Al-Ahli emerged victorious, setting up a final against either Shabab Al-Ahli or Machida Zelvia.
