The left-handed opener forged a 122-run stand with Naman Dhir, who contributed a notable 50 runs. Following Dhir's dismissal, De Kock added a crucial 41 runs in collaboration with captain Hardik Pandya, who chipped in with 14 runs.
Despite the best efforts of Punjab's bowler Arshdeep Singh, who claimed three wickets for only 22 runs, and Shashank Singh, who took one, the Mumbai Indians' batting lineup proved too strong, thanks particularly to De Kock's explosive innings.
