In a troubling case from southeast Delhi's Govindpuri, a woman has been accused of fabricating allegations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police indicated these allegations surfaced amid an ongoing property dispute within the family.
The situation drew attention on April 11 after three PCR calls reported a house-related dispute, later identified as a civil property matter. The day after, the woman alleged her father molested her minor daughter, but upon investigation, this was refuted.
The Child Welfare Committee assessed the complaint and confirmed no inappropriate behavior occurred, with the minor denying any such conduct by her grandfather. Legal actions for lying to authorities have been initiated against the complainant.
