Kohli Leads Bengaluru to Victory Over Lucknow
Virat Kohli and Rasikh Dar guided Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a five-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in an IPL match. Bengaluru chased down 147 runs in 15.1 overs, with Kohli scoring 49. Bengaluru joined Rajasthan Royals at the top of the standings with this victory.
Veteran batter Virat Kohli and fast bowler Rasikh Dar led Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a decisive five-wicket victory over a struggling Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League on Wednesday.
Kohli, along with captain Rajat Patidar, anchored the 147-run chase, securing the win at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in just 15.1 overs. Set to bat first, Lucknow limped to 35-1 in the powerplay on a batting-friendly surface and was eventually dismissed for 146.
Defending champions Bengaluru confidently pursued the total, with Kohli scoring a fluent 49. Although Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant retired hurt, Australian Mitchell Marsh and others tried to resist but were thwarted by Bengaluru's bowling attack. Bengaluru now leads the standings with Rajasthan Royals on eight points.
