Fakhar Zaman Banned in PSL Ball-Tampering Scandal

Pakistan cricketer Fakhar Zaman has been handed a two-match ban for ball-tampering during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) game. The incident came to light when Karachi Kings' management notified the match officials of their suspicions regarding Zaman's actions on the field.
According to sources, umpire Faisal Afridi inspected the ball before the final over of the match and suspected it had been tampered with a foreign object, thus leading to a ball change and a five-run penalty against Lahore Qalandars.
Zaman appealed to the PSL's technical committee to overturn the ban, but the decision was upheld due to enough circumstantial evidence support the umpires' verdict. The ban means Zaman will miss the upcoming game against Multan Sultans.
