New Zealand's T20I captain Mitchell Santner has officially joined the Mumbai Indians cricket squad ahead of their much-anticipated IPL match against Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium this Saturday afternoon.
The Mumbai Indians, with a solid victory in their season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, had been awaiting the arrival of Santner and England's all-rounder Will Jacks. Both players decided on a late arrival following their participation in last month's T20 World Cup.
The team's head coach, Mahela Jayawardene, affirmed that the delay was agreed upon due to personal reasons, allowing both overseas players some needed time off. He assured fans and the media that they would soon be integral to the team’s strategy moving forward.
