Sri Lankan fast bowler Nuwan Thushara is taking legal action to ensure his participation in the current IPL season, after Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) withheld the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC).

Despite the SLC's refusal, Thushara contests that his fitness levels have been consistent, having previously played with similar standards. His case is scheduled for April 9.

Thushara, with 30 T20 international matches to his name since 2022, argues the termination of his contract on March 31 should allow him to play freely in the IPL. He insists the denial of NOC due to fitness claims is unfounded.
