The Haryana State Armwrestling Championship 2026 unfolded triumphantly on March 30 at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium in Palwal. The event showcased over 250 athletes from across the state, spotlighting their strength, skill, and dedication to armwrestling excellence. Haryana's Sports Minister, Gaurav Gautam, graced the event as Chief Guest, underscoring the state's commitment to fostering emerging sports like armwrestling.
The championship featured intense matchups in various weight categories, with several athletes delivering remarkable performances. Noteworthy was Pro Panja League's Satnam Singh, who clinched the Champion of Champions title in the senior men's category with a commanding performance. Satnam outmatched competitors including 100 kg winner Davinder Singh Kandola, 110 kg+ winner Attar Singh, and 85 kg winner Anil Sharma to secure his title.
In the youth division, Pro Panja League's Anil Sharma also shone as the Champion of Champions, reflecting the league's success in nurturing young talent. Other notable performances included Sikander Singh Bajwa's win in the 70 kg category, Mohit Kumar's victory in the 80 kg division, Anil Sharma's top spot in the 85 kg class, and triumphs by Davinder Singh Kandola and Attar Singh in the 100 kg and 110 kg+ categories respectively. Parvinn Dabass, Co-Founder of the Pro Panja League, lauded Haryana's strength sports legacy, praising the state's role in cultivating promising armwrestling talent and expressed gratitude to Gaurav Gautam for supporting the sport's expansion.
