Indian boxers made a significant mark on day three of the Asian Boxing Championships as Sachin Siwach and Vishvanath Suresh secured spots in the quarterfinals.
Sachin achieved a hard-fought 4-1 split decision win against Mongolia's Buyandalai Bayarkhuu on Wednesday. The bout was closely contested, with Sachin maintaining poise to progress to the last eight. His next opponent will be Cheng-Wei Lee from Chinese Taipei.
Meanwhile, Vishvanath displayed a commanding performance, winning by a 5-0 unanimous decision against Kyrgyzstan's Bekzat Ergeshov. His sharp technique and excellent ring control were evident throughout the fight. He is set to challenge reigning world champion Sanzhar Tashkenbay of Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals.
