Yuki Bhambri, in partnership with Andre Goransson, has made it to the semifinals of the ATP Masters 1000 for the first time. Representing India and Sweden respectively, the duo defeated Alexander Erler and Andrea Vavassori at Indian Wells.

The 33-year-old Bhambri had previously reached the quarter-finals at this level twice, including an appearance last year at Indian Wells. This victory came as they outperformed their Austrian-Italian opponents with a score of 6-3, 7-6 in a match that lasted over 90 minutes.

Key to their win was their strong first-serve performance, clinching 83 percent of points. Looking ahead, Bhambri and Goransson will challenge France's Arthur Rinderknech and Monaco's Valentin Vacherot, who themselves dispatched a Russian pairing in straight sets during their quarterfinal clash.
