In a surprising turn of events, Max Verstappen, a four-time Formula One world champion, encountered a significant setback during the Australian Grand Prix qualifying session. Verstappen's Red Bull car lost grip and crashed into a barrier at Melbourne's Albert Park, bringing an abrupt end to his session on Saturday.

The incident occurred at the critical turn one of the lakeside track, leaving spectators and the team stunned as the champion driver skidded out of control. Fortunately, Verstappen emerged unscathed from the crash, though he was unable to record any lap time for the session.

Expressing his frustration over the team radio, Verstappen remarked on the unexpected rear axle lock. His exit means he will have a challenging position to make up places in the upcoming race.
