Tiger Woods Eyes Masters Comeback Amid Recovery Journey
Tiger Woods remains hopeful for a return to the Masters while recovering from surgeries. Despite being sidelined since 2024, he's been active in PGA duties and considering a role in the 2027 Ryder Cup. Woods is managing his recovery and professional commitments amidst lingering health challenges.
Tiger Woods, amid his recovery from a back surgery, hasn't set a firm return date but remains hopeful about participating in this year's Masters. Speaking before the Genesis Invitational, Woods mentioned that the Masters is still within reach as he continues his rehabilitation.
Having undergone multiple surgeries, Woods was cleared last December to resume light practice. Although his Achilles tendon is healing well, his back remains a concern. Woods, who recently turned 50, has not played competitively since July 2024 but stays busy as a PGA Tour official.
Woods is also contemplating further involvement with the PGA, being considered for the 2027 Ryder Cup captaincy. While he declined the U.S. captaincy for 2025, he indicated openness to future leadership roles, balancing his commitments with ongoing personal recovery.
