Rajasthan Royals Face Uncertainty Over IPL Venue Amid Safety Concerns

Amid mounting safety concerns raised by an independent audit firm and the BCCI, Rajasthan Royals have requested an indemnity waiver from the state government to host IPL matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This comes after a comprehensive report highlighted alarming fan safety issues.

Sources indicate that the Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) dismissed many of these concerns, sparking a standoff between the franchise and state authorities. As a result, the BCCI has delayed the release of the final IPL schedule due to uncertainties regarding Rajasthan Royals' home venue.

Despite the RSSC's assertion that the stadium is match-ready, the lack of clarity around fan safety has led the Royals to seek additional assurances. The BCCI maintains that safety and fan experience are top priorities, insisting on stringent adherence to national safety standards at IPL venues.
