Max Dowman, at just 15 years and 302 days, captured the spotlight as Arsenal's youngest starter in their 2-0 League Cup victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. The young right-winger impressed with skillful dribbles and crucial duels, earning praise from manager Mikel Arteta.
Dowman, who joined Arsenal in 2015, had earlier made his senior debut off the bench and recently broke the club's record for the youngest starter, a title previously held by goalkeeper Jack Porter. However, Dowman's calm demeanour and natural gameplay stood out, gaining Arteta's admiration.
Arteta highlighted Dowman's exceptional courage and determination on the pitch, noting his ability to maneuver past seasoned players in the Premier League. Alongside Dowman's debut, 17-year-old Andre Harriman-Annous also made his full debut, as Arteta fielded a significantly changed lineup from their last Premier League outing.
