Traffic Jam Derails Top Darts Player's Championship Hopes

Darts champion Luke Littler faced an unexpected hurdle when he was unable to compete in Wednesday’s Players Championship event due to a traffic jam. The young player, who is currently ranked world number two, missed the registration deadline and was resigned to watching the event from the sidelines.

Littler, 18, shared his predicament with followers on Instagram, posting a photo from his car seat with the caption, 'Back to bed it is. Wonder who they are gonna call up.' The missed deadline at 11:00 a.m. left Littler out of the tournament, which was reported soon after his post.

Despite the setback, Littler remains in good spirits and is looking forward to participating in Thursday’s event, aiming to make up for lost time. Additionally, he is already confirmed for the Players Championship finals in Minehead, with an impressive prize up for grabs.
