Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola may rest star striker Erling Haaland for Wednesday's League Cup match against Swansea. Haaland took a knock in Sunday's Premier League loss to Aston Villa and will be assessed before the game, Guardiola revealed in a Tuesday press conference.
Meanwhile, midfielder Rodri's return from a hamstring injury remains uncertain. Having struggled with injuries over the past year, Rodri continues training with the team but isn't ready to play competitively yet, according to Guardiola.
Guardiola also hinted at the inclusion of Kalvin Phillips against Swansea, despite limited playtime this season. City plans to rotate heavily as they navigate a congested fixture list, emphasizing competitiveness against every team, regardless of the standings.
