Mumbai captain Shardul Thakur has confidently stated that Sarfaraz Khan doesn't need to participate in India A tours to regain his spot in international cricket. According to Thakur, Sarfaraz can return to Test cricket by proving his mettle in domestic matches.

Sarfaraz, who debuted in the Test match against England in the 2023-24 season, was left out of the tour of Australia and recent India A series despite showing potential. Thakur emphasized that Sarfaraz's talent is inherently capable of securing him a place based on performance alone.

Recently, he played a credible innings against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy opener. Thakur is confident that Sarfaraz's ability to deliver under pressure showcases his aptitude for international cricket. Mumbai will now prepare for their upcoming match against Chhattisgarh at the BKC Ground.
