Zimbabwe Seeks New Leadership After Dismal World Cup Campaign
Zimbabwe has parted ways with German coach Michael Nees following a lackluster World Cup qualifying performance. Nees, who was in the role for 14 months, led the team to the Cup of Nations finals but failed to secure further progress. Zimbabwe faces a race against time to appoint a new coach for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Zimbabwe has dismissed its German coach, Michael Nees, after a disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign. Nees, who had been with the team for 14 months, had helped Zimbabwe qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.
However, during his tenure, the team only secured two wins out of 14 matches, and they finished last in their World Cup qualifying group with three draws and three losses in the last six matches.
The Zimbabwe Football Association faces the challenge of appointing a new coach in time for their Africa Cup of Nations opening match against Egypt in Group B, scheduled for December 22 in Agadir.
