The FIFA Unites: Women's Series 2025, highlighting Afghanistan's refugee women's soccer team, has been rescheduled and relocated to Morocco. Originally set for Dubai, the tournament faced challenges due to visa issues for Afghan players.
The tournament now kicks off on Sunday, hosting teams from Chad, Libya, Tunisia, and the Afghan Women United. Though Afghanistan's women's team can't officially compete, the event aims to support Afghan women's football.
FIFA reiterates its commitment to Afghan women's football through its strategy approved in May 2025. Games will be broadcast on FIFA's streaming platform, showcasing global support for women in sports.
