Indian shuttlers showcased a strong start at the Badminton Asia U-17 and U-15 Championships 2025. Key victories were secured in boys' singles and mixed doubles against Chinese and other international opponents. India aims to add to its previous gold, silver, and bronze medals from past events.

Indian shuttlers made an impressive start at the Badminton Asia U-17 and U-15 Championships 2025, securing victories against formidable Chinese opponents on the opening day.
In the U-15 boys' singles category, SL Dhakshan Sugumaran and Wazir Singh displayed resilience, winning their matches against China's Lyu Ke Ting and Xia Jun Long, respectively. Sugumaran came from behind to triumph 18-21, 21-14, 21-13, while Singh clinched a tight three-game contest 21-18, 18-21, 21-17.
India's presence was also felt in the girls' singles and mixed doubles categories. Anvi Rathore demonstrated dominance, decisively defeating UAE's Anishka Anu 21-4, 21-9. Mixed doubles pairs Punith Suresh/Aditi Deepak Raj and Jangjeet Singh Kajla/Jananika Ramesh progressed to the round of 16.
