Djokovic Withdraws from Paris Masters Amid Injury Concerns
Novak Djokovic has announced his withdrawal from the Paris Masters. He did not specify a reason but has recently struggled with a leg injury. Despite being 38, Djokovic continues to draw inspiration from other veteran athletes to extend his tennis career.
Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion, confirmed on Tuesday that he will not participate in the upcoming Paris Masters, a 1000-level event. Djokovic made the announcement on social media, expressing his regret but offering no specific reason for his decision to withdraw.
The Serbian athlete, who celebrated triumphs in Paris seven times, encountered a challenging journey this season, including a semi-final exit at the Shanghai Masters earlier this month due to a leg injury. Despite his current rank of number five, Djokovic's dedication to the sport remains unwavering.
At 38, Djokovic looks up to sports icons like NBA's LeBron James and NFL's Tom Brady to prolong his career, similar to his football counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo. Although his last Grand Slam victory was in 2023, this year he reached the semi-finals of each major championship.
