Weather Chaos in Himachal: Hailstorms and Snowfall Sweep the State

Authorities warned of continued severe weather conditions in several districts and ensured the safety of affected travelers and residents.

In Himachal Pradesh, a blend of weather phenomena including rainfall, hailstorms, and snowfalls has disrupted normalcy, especially in Shimla where a hailstorm considerably lowered temperatures.
Himalayan regions like Lahaul and Spiti recorded fresh snowfall, complicating travel but authorities, led by DSP Manali, KD Sharma, ensured the safety and swift redirection of around 1,000 vehicles in Manali.
The Shimla Meteorological Office has issued alerts for hailstorms and gusty winds in multiple districts, predicting these challenges to persist till April 10, while a new western disturbance is set to impact the weather further next week.
