The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of potential thunderstorms in multiple regions of Maharashtra this Thursday and Friday, with Mumbai being the notable exception.

An orange alert has been sounded for areas like Nandurbar, Dhule, and Jalgaon, indicating residents should be prepared for disruption. Meanwhile, Pune and parts of Marathwada and Vidarbha remain under a yellow alert, signaling citizens to be aware of possible severe weather conditions.

For Friday, Parbhani and Hingoli have also been added to the orange alert list. The IMD uses a color-coded system to denote weather warning levels: green for no warning, yellow urging awareness, orange advising preparation, and red recommending immediate action.
