Fierce Storm Ravages Assam, Leaves Trail of Destruction

A severe storm has wreaked havoc in Assam, resulting in the death of at least one person and injuries to another, while affecting around 8,000 residents.
The storm, which began on Monday night, extended its wrath across 23 districts, including Baksa, where the casualties occurred, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority.
A total of 577 villages have reported extensive damage, with 111 houses completely destroyed and 1,523 partially damaged. Essential services and infrastructure, including schools and electricity supply, were also impacted.
