Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects in Tamil Nadu worth Rs 5,650 crore, emphasizing their role in job creation and infrastructure enhancement for the state. Clad in traditional attire, Modi highlighted the projects' significance in sectors like clean energy, petroleum, highways, and railways.
The Prime Minister flagged off new train services to strengthen Tamil Nadu's connectivity with neighboring regions. He also laid the foundation for Bharat Petroleum's City Gas Distribution Network, promising PNG connections to over 8.8 lakh households and numerous commercial establishments, enhancing ease of living.
Modi addressed the practical benefits of improving rural and urban infrastructure, citing enhanced access to education, healthcare, and market facilities. The emphasis on sustainable projects, such as the IOCL Lube Plant in Chennai, underscores efforts to reduce imports and boost local industries.
