Tragedy struck at a Vadodara construction site as two workers died during an inspection of a drainage chamber. Police identified the victims as Vipul Mangroliya, 45, from Amreli, and Akshay Bhabhor, 23, from Dahod.
Authorities suspect that the workers may have succumbed to drowning or toxic gas exposure, though the exact cause remains unknown pending post-mortem results. Inspector S G Vaghela of the Varnama police station confirmed the incident to PTI.
The bodies have been returned to their families, and while an accidental death report has been filed, further legal actions are anticipated once formal complaints are lodged by the victims' families.
