Delhi Takes Bold Step Towards Clearer Skies with Mist Sprays

In a significant move to tackle air pollution, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated 120 mist spray systems at the Indira Gandhi International Airport premises on Saturday. This initiative is part of the 'Clear Air, Clean Delhi' campaign, reflecting the Delhi government's commitment to improving environmental quality in the capital.

The mist spray systems, installed by the GMR Group, are designed to control air pollution and ensure a cleaner environment for passengers. The initiative forms part of a joint venture by the Delhi International Airport Limited, which involves the GMR Airports Limited and Airports Authority of India.

The chief minister highlighted the scientific strategies being employed by the Delhi government to curb pollution, which includes the installation of mist spray systems across roads and metro stations. Further plans involve expanding the real-time monitoring network and transitioning to a fully electrified public bus fleet by 2029.
