The National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) is inviting universities and scientific institutions to submit research proposals for collaborative studies on archived sediment core samples from India's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
Located in Goa, NCPOR serves as the main agency for the national programme on 'Geoscientific Studies of the EEZ of India.' This initiative, in partnership with various institutions, has gathered extensive marine geoscientific data and sediment samples from deep-water regions beyond 500 meters.
The centre is now calling for fresh research proposals to further scientific collaboration and utilization of these samples. Proposals must be submitted by November 10 for evaluation under set guidelines, ensuring effective use of the available materials.
