Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal has urged the allies within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the broader INDIA bloc to arrive at clear and collective decisions regarding seat-sharing for the forthcoming legislative council and Rajya Sabha elections in the state.
Highlighting the significance of cooperation among allies amid the current political scenario, Sapkal met with MVA ally and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday. The discussion comes ahead of the upcoming legislative council elections, where the opposition coalition stands a chance of securing at least one seat.
Sapkal stressed the need for organized discussions on future electoral strategies, pointing to past electoral outcomes and allocations within the bloc, as well as the roles national leaders have played in these decisions.
