Chinese Envoy Discusses Peace Efforts with Pakistani Leadership

The Chinese envoy to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday, focusing on the regional tensions in West Asia and Pakistan's role in peace negotiations regarding the US-Iran conflict.
During the meeting, which also included Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other key ministers, discussions concentrated on facilitating a second round of talks between Tehran and Washington. The engagement highlights stepped-up efforts by Pakistan to negotiate peace.
The meeting concluded with mutual appreciation for the ongoing diplomatic efforts, and both countries expressed their commitment to further strengthen their strategic partnership, which is pivotal for lasting peace in the region, as noted by the Chinese ambassador.
