Mamata Banerjee Challenges BJP's Power Play in Bengal Elections

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed surprise and dissatisfaction at the use of CRPF armoured vehicles during assembly elections, alleging that the BJP-led central government is leveraging state resources for political gain. She underscored her statement in a rally at North 24 Parganas, noting the unprecedented deployment of two lakh central force personnel.

Banerjee openly challenged the BJP, questioning their tactics and suggesting that the armoured vehicles were meant to intimidate. She criticized the deployment of security forces and questioned the Modi government's priorities, urging them to address unrest in Manipur rather than focusing on West Bengal.

At a rally in Hooghly, Banerjee addressed issues affecting farmers, especially potato growers, urging them to seek better markets externally. She accused the BJP of manipulating electoral outcomes through voter list deletions and called for impartiality among state officials. Banerjee's discourse reflected a keen opposition to BJP's strategies in the state and validated her support for local farmers.
