President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday honored the memory of those lost in the Pahalgam terror attack, reinforcing India's resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms.

The attack took place on April 22 last year, claiming the lives of 25 tourists and a local ponywallah. Launched by the Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Taiba, the terrorists responsible were neutralized in Operation Mahadev on July 28.

In retaliation, Indian armed forces conducted precision strikes on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7, under Operation Sindoor. These strikes targeted key locations of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, responsible for plotting attacks against India.
