On the first anniversary of the tragic Pahalgam terrorist attack, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reaffirmed India's unwavering stand against terrorism. Paying tribute to the 26 victims who lost their lives, mostly tourists, Gandhi emphasized that the nation will never succumb to forces spreading hatred and fear.
Gandhi's heartfelt post highlighted the shared grief of the nation over the loss of innocent lives and the eternal honor owed to those who perished. He assured that the nation stands united against the perpetrators and will continually oppose them with greater strength and unity.
The attack was carried out by the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba. In retaliation, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror and military infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, showcasing India's resolute commitment to counter-terrorism.
