Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing critique of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in a Salboni rally, accusing her of shielding infiltrators and supporting dynastic politics. Shah framed the April 23 elections as a decisive ideological battle, urging voters to support BJP's goals of expelling infiltrators and curbing corruption.
Shah challenged Banerjee's alleged backing of a 'Babri Masjid-modelled mosque' in Bengal, vowing BJP's opposition to such plans. He also addressed the issue of women's safety, citing multiple incidents to attack TMC's governance while promising a BJP-led administration would ensure women's security.
Highlighting BJP's intent to implement a Uniform Civil Code in Bengal, Shah criticized Banerjee's opposition to women's reservation bills and accused her administration of illegal activities like sand mining. He invoked local hero Khudiram Bose to question the current government's portrayal of historical figures.
