In a notable diplomatic move, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun declined to engage in conversations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as revealed by a government official.

The incident occurred during a telephone discussion with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who reportedly conveyed Washington's understanding of Lebanon's position.

While Aoun's office confirmed the call with Rubio in a public statement, it made no reference to potential talks with Netanyahu. Furthermore, Netanyahu's office did not issue any statements regarding the matter.
