In a fervent speech, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assailed West Bengal's ruling party, the TMC, alleging the state was plunged into an identity crisis marked by corruption and 'mafia rule.' He addressed a rally in Rampurhat, appealing for support for the BJP in the upcoming elections.
Adityanath drew attention to a perceived atmosphere of fear in Bengal, suggesting it mirrored Uttar Pradesh's own troubled past before the BJP's governance. He cited issues like riots and criminal influence as prevalent in West Bengal and highlighted Uttar Pradesh's transformation under BJP leadership as a model.
Citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance, Adityanath accused the TMC of embezzling central funds meant for development. He positioned a 'double-engine' BJP government as the remedy for West Bengal, invoking BJP ideologue Syama Prasad Mookherjee to underscore his point.
