In a passionate address to supporters, Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari proclaimed a 'storm, a tsunami of the people' poised to oust the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) from power. Adhikari vehemently stated that the populace would 'uproot and throw them [TMC] out, root and all,' while vowing that a new BJP government will rescind all fake cases against the party at the first cabinet meeting. A 'fighter's allowance' of Rs 5,000 is also promised for those jailed under purportedly false charges.

The political climate has heated up in the state with major campaigning efforts. Amidst this, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Kharagpur to bolster support for Adhikari. During his nomination filing, Shah rallied the crowd, urging voters to cast fear aside and ensure TMC's removal from power. He called directly on Bhabanipur constituents, encouraging support for Adhikari to achieve a governmental shift.

Highlighting BJP's vision for a 'Sonar Bangla,' Shah emphasized the pressing need for a new leadership, condemning TMC for alleged corruption. With the Assembly election approaching, Shah committed to a 15-day campaign in West Bengal, urging the electorate to choose change. Meanwhile, Adhikari is contending in a significant electoral battle against TMC leader and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the Bhabanipur seat, with polling set for April 23 and April 29.
