V D Satheesan, a prominent Congress leader, expressed vehement criticism against the BJP on Saturday, likening them to 'wolves in sheepskin' during his address to reporters in Kasaragod. He accused the party of enacting legislation harmful to Christian communities, referring specifically to the proposed amendments to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.

According to Satheesan, these amendments would empower the central government to refuse licence renewals for foreign-funded entities, potentially allowing asset seizures. This legislation, he contends, is strategically targeted at minority communities, despite Union Minister Suresh Gopi's assertions that it protects national interests.

Furthermore, Satheesan attacked Kerala's CPI(M), alleging political hypocrisy due to their alliances with extremist groups like SDPI. As Assembly elections approach, he claims that incumbent alliances are using intimidation tactics against opposition figures. However, he remains confident in the UDF's ability to secure victory, citing anti-incumbency as a significant factor.
