In a fiery election speech, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took aim at Kerala's ruling LDF and the BJP, accusing them of forming covert alliances with communal forces. Addressing an enthusiastic gathering, Gandhi argued that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's ties with these groups were detrimental to minority communities.
The Congress scion further alleged a 'hidden hand' guiding the LDF, leading to dissatisfaction among its traditional leaders and followers. Highlighting a key supporter, former CPI(M) leader G Sudhakaran, Gandhi suggested a significant shift within the LDF, indicating broader political realignments in Kerala.
Gandhi emphasized UDF's plans to empower women through initiatives like free bus travel and allowances for college-going girls. The speech also touched on national concerns, with Gandhi criticizing the Modi government for pandering to powerful entities and international influences at the expense of local interests and the economy.
