In a forceful rally speech, TVK chief Vijay accused both state and central governments of political conspiracy following a tragic stampede in Karur and criticized them for the LPG cylinder crisis. The incident, which occurred on September 27, 2025, during his address, resulted in 41 fatalities and numerous injuries.
Vijay condemned the ruling DMK for what he termed 'cash box alliances,' alleging that the government has formed illicit ties while failing to fulfill election promises. He pointed to unfulfilled promises such as gas subsidies and the abolition of NEET, labeling the administration as 'useless and corrupt.'
Promising to address fundamental issues such as education, health, and transportation, Vijay discouraged support for BJP and DMK and urged voters to give TVK an opportunity. The rally also witnessed minor mishaps including a police officer's injury and two women fainting due to the heat.
