Priyanka Gandhi, Congress MP, alleged that Kerala's Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, and the ruling LDF are secretly allied with BJP for retaining power in the state. She described them as a 'B-team' for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government and accused them of corruption.
During a campaign speech in Thiruvananthapuram, Priyanka attacked Modi’s foreign policy, claiming it lacks backbone and compromises India’s standing amid ongoing West Asia conflicts. She argued that Indians stranded in the Gulf are vulnerable due to Modi’s policies.
Gandhi also criticized the state government for neglecting crucial public services, including the healthcare system, while being fixated on holding power. She urged voters to adopt change and outlined the UDF's 'Indira guarantees' as part of their election manifesto, emphasizing socio-economic reforms and accountability.
