Stalin Condemns FCRA Amendment Targeting Minority Institutions

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has voiced strong objections against the proposed amendment to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. He claims it targets Christian NGOs, churches, and other minority institutions.

Stalin, who is also the president of the ruling DMK, emphasized that this move by the Union BJP Government follows attempts to seize Waqf properties and now threatens the foreign funding avenues for minority institutions.

In a social media post, Stalin urged the withdrawal of the bill and called on the Prime Minister's Office to intervene, noting that the proposed changes would be detrimental to minority rights, especially amidst the political climate in Kerala.
