Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to touch down in Puducherry on April 3 for a strategic roadshow intended to bolster the NDA's presence ahead of the crucial Assembly elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Puducherry, a part of the AINRC-led NDA coalition, confirmed that Modi will participate in the 2-kilometer long event, commencing from the Ajanta signal to Anna square in Odian Salai.
Scheduled for a 4 pm arrival at the local airport from Chennai, Modi will then proceed to Puducherry town where the roadshow will unfold. His visit is aimed at campaigning for the NDA coalition, which comprises AINRC, BJP, AIADMK, and LJK.
Comprehensive security measures are being implemented along the route on S V Patel Salai and Anna Salai, with law enforcement and local administration officials coordinating logistical operations to ensure the event proceeds smoothly.
