West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's campaign faced a setback when her helicopter was forced to return to Burwan due to a sudden thunderstorm. The helicopter, caught in strong winds, could not land as planned at Nabagram in Murshidabad district.
Officials reported that the weather event occurred around 2.10 pm, disrupting Banerjee's scheduled appearance at an electoral rally. Following the return, the Chief Minister opted for a road journey to Nabagram. This incident follows another weather-related flight delay last week.
Banerjee's campaign continues amid mounting weather challenges. The crucial elections for the 294-member West Bengal Assembly are set to occur over two phases, with votes being tallied on May 4.
