Vijayan Dismisses Congress Allegations of CPI(M)-BJP Deals

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has strongly refuted the Congress party's accusations of a covert alliance between the CPI(M) and the BJP in multiple assembly constituencies. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Vijayan dismissed the allegations, emphasizing that past political strategies by Congress helped the BJP win.

Citing the 2016 Nemom assembly election, Vijayan accused Congress of facilitating the BJP's victory through a deliberate reduction of their vote share. Furthermore, he highlighted the Congress party's history of backdoor dealings with the BJP, challenging the integrity of the opposition's claims.

Amid accusations from Opposition Leader V D Satheesan of a CPI(M)-BJP partnership, Vijayan assured the public of the Left Democratic Front’s staunch opposition to the BJP and the RSS. He also noted Kerala's improved financial health, despite Union government constraints, as evidence of effective local governance.
