Congress Faces Criticism for Low Female Representation in Kerala Elections
Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed voiced concern over the limited number of female candidates in the Kerala Assembly elections, a sentiment echoed by Kochi councillor Deepthi Mary Varghese. Despite Varghese's understanding of the party's candidate selection process, the low female representation remains deeply disappointing.

In a strong statement, Congress national spokesperson Shama Mohamed highlighted the insufficient female representation in the party's candidate list for the Kerala Assembly elections.
Expressing her discontent, Mohamed called upon Rahul Gandhi to advocate for more women candidates, noting merely nine women were given Congress tickets out of 92 seats.
Meanwhile, Kochi Corporation councillor Deepthi Mary Varghese, expressing her understanding of the candidacy selection process, insisted that unity in the UDF would lead to electoral success.
