In a significant political development, five MLAs have been sworn in as ministers in Uttarakhand, expanding the cabinet to its full capacity. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami administered the oath of office at Lok Bhavan, bringing new faces into key ministerial roles.
The newly inducted ministers, Khazan Das, Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Madan Kaushik, Pradeep Batra, and Ram Singh Kaida, now complete the cabinet's composition, adhering to the constitutional limit of 12 members. This expansion comes after the cabinet was reduced to eight following the death of a minister in April and the resignation of another last year.
With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) entering its second term in 2022, this strategic move aims to strengthen governance in Uttarakhand, ensuring stability and continuity in the state's administrative affairs.
