Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) held a second round of seat-sharing negotiations with the ruling DMK for the approaching Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The talks, held at the DMK's headquarters, focused on the number of constituencies proposed for MNM to contest in the polls.

Arunachalam, MNM's general secretary, informed reporters about the ongoing negotiations, noting some discrepancies had arisen regarding seat allocation. He emphasized that the discussions aim to bridge these gaps and secure a win for the DMK-led coalition in the elections.

The talks, described as keenly focused on resolving seat-related issues, are expected to conclude shortly. An emergency meeting of MNM officials and district secretaries is scheduled for March 20 in Chennai under Haasan's leadership to address future strategies.
